This year, Imperial War Museums (IWM) and Scottish Borders Archive and Local History Centre, The Heritage Hub, are working together to show the UNESCO listed film The Battle of the Somme, to audiences in Hawick.
There is also a chance to see the Gateways to the First World War exhibition Cinema during the First World War, which will run from 8th-29th July, and a selection of stories captured as part of the Saving and Sharing Stories of the Scottish Borders in WWI project.

The 1 hour 17 minutes silent film will be accompanied by Laura Rossi’s score, commissioned to mark the 90th anniversary of The Battle of the Somme.
