The First World War: Commemoration and Memory is an international conference taking place on 27 February 2016 at Imperial War Museum North. This conference will combine the latest academic and postgraduate scholarship with participation from heritage agencies, libraries, museums, archives, community groups and independent researchers. The one-day symposium will consist of academic papers, cultural presentations, displays of community projects and activities, and a roundtable discussion on the benefits and challenges involved in the establishment and development of academic and community research initiatives focused on the First World War.
