A research project about World War I and the lasting effects it has had on Islington residents. Events and activities have included:
- Archive training delivered by Gateways to the First World War
- Workshops by Islington Local History centre on research skills and archive access
- Training on organising an exhibition
- Training on photography
The research is part of Stepping Stone4's integration projects.
Stepping Stone4 was established in 2012 by a group of East African women following recommendations of a community research report. The report outlined exclusion and the difficulties Swahili Speaking Women face in accessing health services and training opportunities in the London borough of Islington.
