The launch event for 'Breaking the Myths' on 20 January 2017 was hugely successful, and promised great things to come for the project over the next two years.
The event included speeches by expert historians, African music and poetry, and participatory debates involving people of diverse ages, ethnicities and occupations.
Together we collaborated to discuss the importance of shining a light on the African involvement in WW1, and how best to achieve an inclusive education of WW1 and an inclusive commemoration during the Armistice Day 2018 and beyond.
