Two new podcasts by Professor Mark Connelly have been published by the First World War Centenary Battlefield Tours Programme, examining the War on the Western Front in 1915 and the Gallipoli Campaign.
First World War Battlefield Tours is a £5.3 million programme run by the UCL Institute of Education and Equity. It provides the opportunity for a minimum of two students and one teacher from every state funded secondary school in England to visit battlefields on the Western Front between 2014 and 2019. The battlefield tours are a key part of the Government's plans to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
Gateways' Professor Mark Connelly and Dr Dan Todman are members of the programme's Academic Advisory Group and provide advice and contributions for the historical content of the website. Professor Connelly has produced the podcasts as teaching resources for secondary school teachers and they can be downloaded free of charge here.
