Are you interested in the history of the West End? Would you like to learn more about the cultural side of the First World War? Do you want to develop your research skills?
If the answer to any of these questions is ‘Yes!’ then join us on Friday 11 January at the University of Kent for our ‘Night in the West End’ guided research workshop.
Led by Drs Helen Brooks and Emma Hanna, this workshop brings together expertise in wartime theatre and music. Delving into historic newspapers and periodicals, together we will explore the role of the West End during the First World War. At the end of the day the research we uncover will then become the groundwork for a musical lecture-concert in spring 2019.
Places are free and no previous experience or skills are needed, just enthusiasm and interest. Lunch is provided.
Please note spaces are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
